Every time we talk about “ That ’70s Show” a flood of memories comes rushing in, reminding us that, back in the 90’s, every girl dreamed of being as cute as Jackie (Mila Kunis) and as cool as Donna (Laura Prepon), every dude wanted to be as handsome as Kelso (Ashton Kutcher) and as awesome as Hyde (Danny Masterson), while every dad hoped he was indeed as badass as Red Forman (Kurtwood Smith).

Now, we take a closer look at some of the most interesting That ’70s Show facts most of the cast doesn’t want you to know about.

1. Mila’s Age

Mila Kunis wasn’t 18 yet when she auditioned for the role of Jackie, so she decided to lie about her age to get the part. A classic Jackie move.

2. Red Forman’s Origin

Kurtwood Smith, who brilliantly portrayed the character of Red Forman, was the only regular cast member actually from Wisconsin. Smith used his stepdad (who passed away before the show aired) as an inspiration for the badass character of Red.

3. The Notorious ‘Circle’

Since the sitcom couldn’t actually show the use of marijuana, they had to work around the actual passing of a blunt in a circle, so the producers decided to rotate the camera instead. Smart.

4. Leo Is THE MAN!

Legendary Tommy Chong, the actor who played the resident hippie Leo, took some time off-screen to actually go to jail for, you guessed it, doing hippie things. Chong spent nine months in prison for shipping bongs off across the country.

“Is there a problem, Occifer?”

5. Mila Didn’t Like Ashton At First

When the show started shooting, Mila wasn’t really a huge fan of Ashton. She explained that he was quite narcissistic and she didn’t like that. The two are now, of course, married.

6. Joseph Gordon-Levitt, The Gay Kiss, And The Bigoted Audience

Joseph Gordon-Levitt was supposed to have a recurring role in “That ’70s Show,” but instead ended up appearing in only one episode. Apparently, American audiences weren’t exactly happy to see the first gay kiss to air on North American television, so Joseph’s character had to be written out of the show.

7. Topher Grace Is A Terrible Kisser

Both Laura Prepon and Joseph Gordon-Levitt confessed that Topher Grace was a bad kisser. Prepon even said once that her Orange is the New Black co-star, who plays Piper, is a better kisser that Topher.

BONUS FACT: Chuck Norris was actually supposed to play Red Forman, but (un)fortunately, the action movie star was busy at the tome shooting another show. Crazy stuff.
