TV legend, Adam West, passed away on Friday after a battle with leukemia and his death has hit us all pretty hard. “The Family Guy” creator Seth MacFarlane was naturally amongst those who were paying tribute to the actor, while Fox also honored the late TV star accordingly.
Just as famous as he was among older generations for playing the classic TV Batman, West was also quite known to a younger generation of fans for his out-of-place, wacky, and most of all, hilarious portrayal of the most ridiculous thus adorable supporting character on Family Guy – Mayor West.
The legendary actor was featured in more than 100 episodes, leaving an absurdly unique and colorful mark in the modern history of the animated Fox comedy.
Watch the “In Loving Memory Of Adam West” video below:
“Family Guy has lost its mayor,” said creator Seth MacFarlane following West’s death on June 9, “and I have lost a friend. Adam West was a joy to work with, and the kind of guy you always wanted to be around. His positivity, good nature, and sense of fun were undeniable, and it was always a big jolt of the best kind of energy when he walked in to record the show. He knew comedy, and he knew humanity.”
“Would you answer one question for me?” Mayor West asked the psychic.
“Yes,” the psychic answered.
“Thank you so much,” said West. – This is still one of the best jokes on Family Guy.
Thank you so much, Adam West, for everything.
