There’s no need for wallowing any more.
Although The Mindy Project was canceled on FOX, a fourth season will be happening after all, but this time on Hulu.
After the news that FOX has passed on bringing back the critically acclaimed but low-rated series for a fourth season, it is now speculated that Universal Television is now in talks with Hulu for a multiple-season renewal for Mindy Kaling’s romantic comedy.
Both companies declined to comment on the “transfer,” but multiple sources state that the renewal would likely be for two seasons.
The Mindy Project never had huge ratings, but it was blessed with a great performance and critical acclaim.
The series was picked up by Hulu probably due to the fact that it drawn much of its streaming audience from the mentioned platform.
Kaling spoke about the cancelation recently:”I just think there are more stories. I do think there’s more to tell, and I think fans would be disappointed not to see more adventures with these characters. But I came from a show (The Office) that I was on for eight seasons, and it continued for another year after that, so I am accustomed to long runs of television shows. I would be up for that challenge.”
