Now, this is my brother Carlton. We can’t afford new clothes, so he just doesn’t grow!

Anyone up for some hilariously flashy, oversized and multi-colored blast from the past?

If yes, you are in for a treat because Will Smith‘s musical collaborator DJ Jazzy Jeff has just hinted a “ Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” reunion, and it seems that the sitcom’s revival is already in the works.

Going Down Memory Lane

Just 4 months after actor Alfonso Ribeiro (Carlton) posted a rather teasing cast reunion photo via his Instagram account, DJ Jazzy Jeff spilled some more reunion-related beans in his recent interview with The Sun:

“There have been talks with people about doing something. I think it would be cool if they did it and go down memory lane again.”

Always amazing to spend an afternoon with my Fresh Prince family. Wishing that James Avery was still with us to make this complete.

“It’s a blessing to be part of something that people still hold in high regard,” Jeff continued. “You can’t beat that. It’s hard for people to keep their attention span normally, but to be able to keep it for all these years and transcend generations, put their kids onto it, this is deep.”

“This has been a long time coming. I have been fighting for it,” he rounded up.

No Uncle Phil And Aunt Viv Though…

Unfortunately, the long-awaited Fresh Prince reunion will happen without Uncle Phil as actor James Avery died in 2013.

Whether the original Aunt Viv (played by actress Janet Hubert) will be reprising her role is still unclear, but we honestly don’t expect her to come back since the actress notoriously exited the original series after only three seasons due to alleged “creative differences.”

“There will never be a reunion,” Hubert told TMZ in 2011. “I will never do anything with an a–hole like Will Smith. He is still an egomaniac and has not grown up. This constant reunion thing will never ever happen in my lifetime unless there is an apology, which he doesn’t know the word.”

It appears that the reunion IS happening after all, just without Aunt Viv (and Uncle Phil, respectively).
