“24” actor Kiefer Sutherland and the director of the show, Jon Cassar, talked about “24: Live Another Day” during Comic-Con in San Diego, and the last question during the fan Q&A scratched the surface of the possibility to make the “24” movie after all.
From Jon Cassar’s answer we concluded that Jack Bauer may reach the big screen, however we’ll probably have to wait for it a bit.
When the director was asked about this possibility, he talked about how TV is much different from movies, but he also mentioned that the “24” movie is “still potentially out there, so that’s good news.”
Later he added that the movie is not near and he didn’t elaborate much beyond that.
After finishing the season 8 back in 2010, the possibility of a “24” movie was expected, but unfortunately it didn’t happen. Fox then announced “24: Live Another Day” and it aired this spring.
The ‘sequel’ of the show brought back the terrorist fighting Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland), his faithful friend and occasional assistant Chloe O’Brien (Mary Lynn Rasjkub), and some other new, but also returning supporting stars. Kim Raver and William DeVane are the returning ones, and Tate Donovan, Benjamin Bratt, Michelle Fairley and Yvonne Strahovski are the new blood.
Taking into account how “24: Live Another Day” left off, we are positive we haven’t seen the last of Bauer’s story.
