James Cameron’s latest film Terminator: Genisys has critics and fans disagreeing as to whether the movie is true to its franchise roots, but one thing is for sure, fans have been pleasantly surprised by this sequel, despite some of the unrealistically bad reviews on Rotten Tomatoes and other similar outlets.
The franchise that created Arnold Schwarzenegger – the world superstar has been successfully revived by Terminator: Genisys after a 12-year drought following the release of the Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines back in 2003.
Going into the 4th of July weekend, the film sits at a lower-than-expected $17 million worldwide at the box office.
The competition is fierce with Jurassic World playing in theatres, and it won’t die down any time soon with upcoming major films set to open, including Ant-Man, Minions, Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation, and Fantastic Four.
In any case, Terminator: Genisys is worth your time and money spent at a movie theatre and as far as its PG-13 rating goes, fear not, as there is plenty of destruction and violence.
