There’s no doubt that “The Walking Dead” is one of the most successful TV shows ever, even after managing to piss off a huge number of its fans during the current season, but it seems like the AMC’s hit zombie drama could be getting a spin-off movie.
The possibility of a Walking Dead movie has been on fan wish lists ever since Robert Kirkman created his comic, but a recent interview with one of the main men behind the TV series, showrunner Scott Gimple, has shed some new and pretty blatant light on the whole thing.
“That question comes up every now and again,” Gimple stated in his recent interview with ComicBook.com.
“I’m sure one way or another, one day, it’ll happen. I think it would be cool.”
AMC Out Of The Picture For The Big Screen, Though?
Scott’s further comments in the ComicBook.com interview are pretty much drenched in sarcasm and some stone-cold TV humor.
He continued referring to the possible cast for the inevitable Walking Dead movie:
“William Shatner as Rick. We’ll get Edward James Olmos as Daryl,” he joked, obviously. “Hit all the big shows! Matthew Fox as the Governor!”
Nonetheless, we are happy that the movie spin-off is indeed happening “one way or another”. Now we play the waiting game.
