Since the remains of Hurricane Irma are moving north at this moment, some of the TV series that are being filmed in Georgia are now forced to shut down production.

Including “The Walking Dead.”

As Variety reports, the production of the most popular zombie TV drama had to be stopped, and although this production halt is only supposed to last for one day, the producers still have to reassess the situation soon, so the pause may last much longer.

Among the shows that had to temporarily shut down shooting are:

  • Kevin (Probably) Saves the World
  • The Originals
  • Dynasty
  • Valor
  • MacGyver
  • The Gifted
  • Star
  • Lodge 49
  • The Resident.”

Although Irma has been now reduced and downgraded to a mere tropical storm, the force of nature is causing significant damage in Georgia and unfortunately it claimed two lives there on Monday.

“On Sunday, Irma made landfall in Florida as a category 4 hurricane after causing major devastation throughout the Caribbean,” Variety reports.

“The storm began to weaken as it moved through Florida, but took a heavy toll, claiming four lives and leaving more than 6.5 million customers without power.”
